Lefty Tech is home tech support for the Santa Clarita Valley, and I’m the one who shows up, whether at your door or remotely. I’ve been fixing computers professionally since 1996 and running my own business since 2004, and I explain everything in plain English.
I handle slow or infected computers, Wi-Fi dead zones and mesh network setup, new computer setups and data transfers, backups, and printer setup. I work on Windows and Mac, iPhone and Android, smart TVs and streaming devices, smart home gadgets, home theater, and gaming consoles.
Clicked on a scam pop-up or link? I’ll clean up the mess and lock down your accounts. Retiring an old hard drive? I’ll destroy it securely so your data goes with it.
Hours: 4–8 p.m. daily. Call or text; texting is a great way to describe the problem before we talk.

Tech Tip
That Scary Pop-Up Is Lying to You
It usually goes like this: you’re reading the news or checking email, and suddenly the screen fills with a warning. Sirens, flashing red, “Your computer is infected — call Microsoft Support immediately.” Sometimes it’s a phone call instead, from someone claiming to be Apple, Amazon, or your bank.
It’s a scam. Every time.
Here’s how to spot it:
1. Real companies don’t call you. Microsoft, Apple, and Amazon will never phone you about a virus or a problem with your account.
2. Real warnings don’t include a phone number. If a pop-up tells you to call someone, it’s fake.
3. Nobody legitimate wants gift cards. If anyone asks you to pay with gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency, hang up.
4. Urgency is the trick. “Act now or lose everything” is designed to keep you from thinking. Slow down.
If it happens to you:
* Don’t call the number and don’t let anyone connect to your computer.
* Close the browser. If it won’t close, hold down the power button until the computer shuts off. That’s safe and it won’t hurt anything.
* If you already called, gave someone access, or paid, call your bank right away, then call me. The sooner I can clean things up and change your passwords, the less damage they can do.
One more thing: I’ll never call you out of the blue asking to get into your computer. If someone says they’re from Lefty Tech and you didn’t call me first, hang up and call me at 661∙309∙3249.

I can install RAM, power supplies, video cards, and hard drives, move data to a larger or solid-state drive, and more.
Software
I can help you install and remove software, track down software conflicts, and figure out why something isn't working.
Other Gadgets

- Price for systems that are dropped off at my house for repair.
- Labor is billed in one-hour increments.
- I only bill for time I'm working on the system, not while programs run on their own.
- The average job runs about 3 hours.

- Price for mobile service.
- Labor is billed in half-hour increments.
- Arriving on site counts as the first half hour.
- Seniors (65+) receive a $20-an-hour discount on labor.
